Discipleship Resources

The program we use is not as important as much as a commitment to sharing LIFE together.  One who has been on the journey, for the joy of the journey, invites another to join him on the journey.  Both lives will be richer for it, the more often you walk this journey with another, the deeper and the more meaningful the journey becomes.

There are many other programs out there.  But we love this one because of the focus on relationship, with each other, and with God.  There is no higher goal!!

Matthew 22:36-40 New International Version (NIV) (Thanks to biblegateway.com)

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Our discipleship course, which serves as our basis for beginning new believers and believers who want to take their faith to the next level, was written by Dr. Larry Niemeyer, a missionary in Nairobi Kenya. It consists of a series of foundational books:

Confidence (leaning of God’s Promises and putting Christ Center of our life)

Consistency (how to establish a rhythm of putting Christ central through habitual disciplines)

Stability (how to keep Christ Central during hard times and suffering, and how to re-establish the walk when we fall)

Christlikeness is a study of the book of Philippians and it brings together all that has come before.

It is als highly recommended that in order to prepare to use this program that a general understanding of how it works, the one on one approach.

We also recommend as a part of leadership training or for general beginning bible study that the book we call Prediscipleship

Spiritual Preparedness:  These books are recommeded as a disciple maker is in the discipleship process themselves.  The first book corresponds to books one and two.  The second book below corresponds to books three and four
